1. About These Terms
This website is operated by Proxy Office Inc., carrying on business as Sparkle Light. Throughout this website, the terms “Sparkle Light,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Proxy Office Inc., operating as Sparkle Light.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of www.sparklelight.ca (the “Website”) and purchases made from Sparkle Light, whether online or in our showroom, where applicable. By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to any policies referenced in them, including our Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
If these Terms conflict with a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited, the mandatory legal right or remedy will apply.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products for sale.

3. Eligibility and Lawful Use
By using the Website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian as required by law.
You may not use the Website, our products, or our services for an unlawful or unauthorized purpose. You must not transmit malicious code, interfere with the Website’s operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, collect information about others without lawful authority, or infringe the rights of Sparkle Light or any third party.
We may restrict or terminate access to the Website, refuse an order, or refuse service where we have a lawful and legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, misuse, payment issues, inventory errors, or a violation of these Terms.
4. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to present product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, finishes, colours, images, pricing, and availability accurately. Screen settings, lighting conditions, manufacturing variations, and photography may affect how colours and finishes appear. Images may include decorative items or room settings that are not included with the product.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product dimensions, specifications, compatibility, intended location, and installation requirements before purchasing. Product information may be updated, corrected, or discontinued without notice.
5. Prices, Payment, and Order Acceptance
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and any other disclosed charges are calculated at checkout.
Prices, promotions, and product availability are subject to change without notice before an order is accepted by Sparkle Light. A price change will not affect an order after it has been accepted unless the customer agrees to the change or a correction is otherwise permitted by applicable law. Pricing or listing errors are addressed below.
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may verify payment, inventory, product information, shipping eligibility, and other order details before accepting or fulfilling an order. An automated order-confirmation email acknowledges receipt of the order but does not necessarily confirm that the order has been accepted or shipped.
If we cannot fulfill an order, or if a material pricing, product, inventory, or processing error occurred, we may contact you to correct the order or cancel the affected item or order and refund the amount paid for it. We will not charge a price higher than the price you authorized without your agreement.
6. Final Sale and Defective Products
All products are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, customer ordering errors, or preferences relating to size, style, colour, finish, or installation.
Please inspect each product carefully before installation. Products that have been installed, modified, damaged through handling, or used contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions are not eligible for a return or exchange unless required by applicable law.
If a product has an operational or manufacturing defect, or if Sparkle Light supplied the wrong product, contact us within 30 calendar days of receiving the product. Do not return an item without prior authorization. We may request the receipt or order number, photographs, video, packaging information, and other reasonable details needed to assess the issue.
For an approved defect claim or Sparkle Light fulfillment error, Sparkle Light will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable policy and law. For approved online-order returns, Sparkle Light will cover reasonable return-shipping costs using the return method authorized by us. Unauthorized shipping, installation, removal, reinstallation, repair, travel, or labour costs are not reimbursed unless Sparkle Light agrees in writing or reimbursement is required by law.
Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable rights relating to misrepresentation, defective goods, internet agreements, or the implied conditions and warranties under Ontario law.
7. Custom-Made and Special-Order Products
Custom-made and special-order products require full payment and are final sale. They cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged after the order has been placed with the manufacturer or supplier, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed to by Sparkle Light in writing.
Quoted lead times are estimates and may be affected by manufacturer availability, production, customs, freight, or other circumstances outside Sparkle Light’s reasonable control. We will communicate material delays when information becomes available.
8. Manufacturer Warranties
Products may be covered by a limited manufacturer warranty, generally for one year from the date of purchase unless the product listing or manufacturer’s warranty states a different period. Warranty terms, exclusions, required documentation, and available remedies are determined by the manufacturer.
Sparkle Light does not provide a separate product warranty unless expressly stated in writing, but we will reasonably assist customers with manufacturer-warranty documentation and coordination. Manufacturer warranties do not replace or limit rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Unless required by law or expressly agreed to in writing, Sparkle Light is not responsible for installation, removal, reinstallation, travel, equipment, or labour costs associated with a manufacturer-warranty claim.
9. Installation and Electrical Work
Sparkle Light does not provide installation services and is not responsible for installing products. Lighting products must be installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, applicable electrical codes, and product certifications by a qualified and appropriately licensed electrical professional.
Any installer recommended by Sparkle Light is an independent third party. Customers contract directly with the installer, and Sparkle Light does not control or guarantee the installer’s work.
Sparkle Light is not responsible for damage, malfunction, injury, or costs caused by improper installation, incompatible controls or electrical systems, unauthorized modification, misuse, or failure to follow applicable instructions or codes, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
10. Online Shipping
Free standard shipping is available only to delivery addresses within Sparkle Light’s approved Ontario shipping area. Eligibility is determined at checkout using the delivery postal code. We do not ship to addresses outside the approved shipping area or to P.O. boxes.
Online orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery is 4–7 business days, including approximately 1–2 business days for handling and 3–5 business days for transit. These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by product availability, carrier delays, weather, holidays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers outside the approved shipping area may still place an online order and select free pickup from our Markham showroom, subject to product availability and the checkout options displayed for the order.
Our Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms and provides additional details. Statutory delivery and cancellation rights continue to apply where applicable.
11. Showroom Pickup and In-Store Purchases
Showroom pickup is available for eligible online and in-store orders. Wait until Sparkle Light confirms that the order is ready before travelling to the showroom. Identification, the order confirmation, and authorization from the purchaser may be required before an order is released.
In-store purchases are generally made available for showroom pickup unless another arrangement is confirmed by Sparkle Light at the time of purchase.
We will notify customers when backordered or pickup orders are ready. Unless another arrangement is agreed to in writing, orders should be collected within 14 days after the ready-for-pickup notice. If an order remains uncollected, Sparkle Light will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer regarding collection and any available next steps.
Selecting showroom pickup for an online order does not convert the transaction into an in-store purchase or remove any mandatory rights that apply to an online consumer agreement.
12. Optional Tools and Third-Party Services
The Website may provide access to tools, payment methods, applications, carriers, installers, or services operated by third parties. Those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices. To the extent permitted by law, Sparkle Light is not responsible for third-party services that it does not own or control.
13. Third-Party Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. A link does not necessarily mean that Sparkle Light endorses or controls the third party or its content. Customers should review the third party’s terms and privacy practices before completing a transaction or providing personal information.
14. User Comments and Submissions
If you submit a review, comment, photograph, idea, suggestion, or other content to Sparkle Light, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. You remain responsible for the content and accuracy of your submission.
You grant Sparkle Light a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, translate, and display content that you voluntarily submit for publication or promotional use, subject to applicable privacy law and any written agreement with you.
We may moderate or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, defamatory, obscene, infringing, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate.
15. Personal Information
Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Payment information may also be processed by Shopify, payment providers, and other service providers involved in completing the transaction.
16. Errors and Corrections
The Website may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to descriptions, specifications, pricing, promotions, shipping, transit times, or availability. We may correct information and update the Website at any time.
If an error materially affects an order already placed, we will contact the customer and address the order in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in this section permits Sparkle Light to engage in misleading advertising or to disregard an accepted consumer agreement where the law does not allow it.
17. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Website and its general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Website will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sparkle Light will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the Website or products, including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable or were caused by circumstances outside Sparkle Light’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, conditions, warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Sparkle Light against third-party claims, losses, or reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful use of the Website, your infringement of a third party’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This section does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Sparkle Light’s own negligence, misconduct, or breach of law.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
20. No Waiver
If Sparkle Light does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms and the policies and order information incorporated by reference form the agreement between you and Sparkle Light concerning the Website and applicable purchases. They supersede prior website terms on the same subject, but do not replace specific written terms agreed to for an individual order.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection available under applicable law.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on the Website and changing the “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively from the date posted. An order is governed by the terms and policies presented or otherwise applicable when the order was placed, except where a change is required by law or agreed to by the customer.
24. Official Website Notice
Sparkle Light’s official website is www.sparklelight.ca. We do not endorse or claim affiliation with other websites or online platforms merely because they display our name, content, or products.
